Ingrid Simons in Portugal

This week everything for the publication is falling into place!! Good news all over! It will be a very special, "collectors item" publication!  The first texts are being translated, the selections of the photos are a lot of work, but with beautiful results (and nice to remember the good times in Portugal!) Today back to my studio! To make a special drawing and..paint!!    

  My first "black" azulejo made with mestre Xico!! And it won't be the last! 

  Still a few studio visits to come that I'm looking forward to!! Today selected some paintings that are maybe going to be the cover photo of the publication... Very exhiting!

Just wanted to show you one of the newest paintings, straight from Portugal! Can't believe I'm "already" in the Netherlands for one month now! And an update fconerning the publication : I had a very inspiring meeting with the designer, it will be a very (very!) special publication! And around April 2013 it will be presented! So now for me a period of selecting all photos, collecting all information for the designer, and making sure all texts are perfectly translated has started!

Vandaag beginnen we officieel met alle voorbereidingen voor de publicatie, dus vanaf vandaag mijn foto's aan het uitzoeken, alle gegevens aan het verzamelen, afspraken met de vormgever, en vol verwachting wachtend op de brieven uit Portugal!! Ik wil ook alvast iedereen bedanken voor jullie ondersteuning! Zonder jullie was dit niet mogelijk geweest! Echt geweldig dat deze publicatie nu gerealiseerd kan worden! We gaan er een heel mooi, speciaal document van maken! Bedankt!   Today we are officially starting with all the preparations for the publication, so starting today I will be sorting my photos, collecting all data, appointments with the designer, and eagerly waiting for the letters from Portugal!! I would also like to already thank everyone for your support! Without all of you this was would not have been possible! Really great that this publication can be realised now!
