English version below in this message Speciale editie!! ter afsluiting van mijn keramisch onderzoekstraject     Er zijn nog enkele speciale editie beschikbaar!!  Deze speciale editie wordt gepresenteerd in een gelimiteerde oplage van maar  25 !! Ter gelegenheid van de afsluiting van het onderzoekstraject naar de Portugese azulejo traditie en de Nederlandse Delfts-Blauwe traditie en dit in relatie tot mijn eigen werk, verschijnt er een speciale keramische editie in 2015. Deze speciale editie  bestaat uit: - Een handgeschilderde vaas (19 cm. hoog ; elke vaas uniek!) beschilderd in de traditionele blauwen, maar ook in zwart, en combinaties tussen zwart en blauw en soms ook enkele andere kleuren -een fotoboek met een fotoverslag en een kort tekstverslag van zowel het Nederlandse als het Portugese onderzoekstraject (60 pagina’s, 19,1 x 19,1 cm.).  De publicatie genaamd “O barro viva / De klei leeft”heeft een hardcover Deze publicati...

Some of my new ceramic works made last spring Alentejo, Portugal (2014)   With a very special thank you to the Van Renessefonds for supporting my Portuguese research project! And also with a very special thank you to the Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds, Dr. Aart A. de Veer Fonds for supporting my Dutch research project!

And me & my new work have returned to the Netherlands. Here a few photos of my newest Portugal works in my studio in the Netherlands! Already longing to return to Alentejo! Again this residency was so inspirational! This is also for now the last update, but.... very good news: i will be returning to Alentejo and Fundacao Obras in the spring of 2015!! I am so glad! Then this blog will also be updated like you are used to, every 2, 3 days an update! Thank you for following!! And I hope to meet you all soon, to catch up & to show you these work "ao vivo"!

Final presentation residency May & June 2014 Fundação OBRAS, Evoramonte, Portugal With this final presentation I am showing all work made in Alentejo, Portugal, during this residency. My new ceramic work will be presented in Sala Rossio, and my newest paintings in the studio Branco in which I worked. Presentation of my new ceramic work, Sala Rossio When I started painting my first 3 azulejos of 40 x 30 cm. with Mestre Xico in 2011, I could have never expected this to become a complete new direction in my work. In 2012 I continued with a few more azulejos & I painted two vases that the mestre had made by hand. After this residency I was sure that these ceramics were not just ‘a fling’, but that I really wanted to continue on this path. Due to this, at the end of 2012 I wrote my proposal for a research project, which told about my desire to research the Portuguese azulejo tradition and the Dutch Delftsblauw (Royal Blue) tradition, and I was curious how it w...
