For english version, please scroll down within this message OPROEP Crowdfunding voor project “Hidden Paradise” (“O paraíso escondido”) De laatste jaren ben ik een keer per jaar naar Alentejo in Portugal gegaan, om daar bij een officiële residentie te werken om nieuwe schilderijen en nieuw keramisch werk te maken. Dit heeft een enorm grote invloed op mijn werk gehad. Voor mijn schilderijen betekende dat een nieuw thema, nieuwe kleuren en nieuwe kleurcombinaties, en direct geïnspireerd op het landschap, waarin ik letterlijk werk. Maar mijn werk is bijvoorbeeld ook veranderd in techniek : naast mijn pasteuze werk, ben ik ook gaan experimenteren met het  maken van transparanter, etherisch werk. Tevens dankzij deze werkperiodes is er een nieuw facet in mijn werk ontstaan : mijn keramische werk, in samenwerking met een Portugese meester in de keramiek. Started selecting photos for my new photobook about my residency spring 2015 Highlights of the results :

Saudades....but to 'kill" my saudades I am selecting my photos from this very inspiring residency last May & June to make a new photobook, and I am working on new paintings inspired by this residency. a few more of my final presentation of my residency! Can't believe how much i was able to do in 2 months! and also new shapes, made my Mestre Xico after my drawings, more to follow next year! Still a few small paintings i am working on overview I also brought a few of my small vases from the special edition, 19 cm. high, still a few available! (vase, book and ceramic cover 375 euro, only the vase 275 euro) And during the presentation I am working outside on the paintings, that still need to be finished, before leaving @ last days Working with a beautiful view All the grasses have already turned white, it's very dry and hot! My newest roses Golden landscape, 30 x 40 cm. In these photos you can clearly see the deep scratches, that I make as a drawing, before painting my azulejos.
